Customer Service Representative
WAGE: Up to $22.00/hr, depending on experience
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overview
A local manufacturing company is seeking a Customer Service Representative to manage and process customer orders received via mail, fax, email, or customer portals. This role serves as the first point of contact for customer needs. Strong data entry, problem solving and organizational skills will be a key part of your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Review purchase orders for accuracy before entry.
- Verify part numbers, pricing, and billing details on incoming orders.
- Enter customer orders, changes, and related data into the system.
- Track order progress and follow up on inquiries, shortages, shipment discrepancies, and damaged goods.
- Coordinate with production, shipping, warehouse, and logistics teams to resolve delays or issues.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to customers regarding order status and product information.
- Collaborate with shipping staff to meet delivery terms and customer requirements.
- Participate in internal meetings related to production and customer service.
- Manage customer inventory programs, including forecast reviews and inventory tracking.
- Maintain open order reports and update customer records.
- Record and file customer orders and shipping information.
Qualifications
- 1 + year of customer service experience required.
- 1+ year of experience of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
