Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Flooring Installer who can expertly install various types of flooring, including hardwood, tile, laminate, and carpet. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, executing precise installations, and ensuring top-notch finishes that meet customer expectations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install a wide range of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl plank, tile, and carpet
- Use power tools and hand tools efficiently and safely for all phases of installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and schematics to determine layout and installation methods
- Prepare subfloors and surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and performing floor care tasks
- Apply caulking to seal and finish edges properly
- Assist with minor repair work and maintenance tasks during projects
- Perform construction painting or touch-ups as needed
- Handle water damage restoration to prepare areas for new flooring
- Install cabinets when necessary as part of flooring-related remodeling projects
- Buff and clean installed floors to provide a polished, professional appearance
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Flooring Installer or similar role in residential/commercial construction
- Proficient in the use of power tools, cutting equipment, and hand tools
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and floor plans
- Knowledge of surface prep and floor care best practices
- Experience applying caulking for clean and secure finishes
- General handyman or maintenance person skills preferred
- Experience in construction painting, cabinet installation, or water damage restoration is a plus
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
