Temporary Accounting Assistant (3-Month Assignment)
Location: Thorp, WI (On-site)
Pay: $25–$28 per hour, depending on experience
A local manufacturing company is seeking a Temporary Accounting Assistant for an approximately 3-month, on-site assignment. This role supports tax account setup, wage entry, and basic payroll and HR-related tasks. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional with prior experience navigating state and government websites.
Responsibilities
- Assist with converting state tax filings to FEIN-based registrations
- Set up and manage tax accounts across multiple government and state websites
- Support basic HR functions, including wage entry for state website registrations
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and financial information
- Provide basic accounting and HR administrative support as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience setting up tax accounts on multiple online platforms
- Working knowledge of HR confidentiality and wage processing
- Payroll experience with ADP systems and SmartCompliance preferred; training available
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Professional written communication skills
