What We’re Looking For

Hands-on experience with industrial equipment, fabrication, or mechanical systems

Proficiency with CAD software (or similar tools)

Strong problem-solving skills, especially in prototype environments

Ability to work independently and stay organized

Experience or interest in:

Metal fabrication

AC/DC electronics

Electronic controls

Gearmotors and augers

Data collection

Project management
- Mechanical engineering degree helpful but not required
What You’ll Do

Use 3D CAD and 2D design software to create plans and drawings for machinery

Collaborate with in-house and third-party metal fabricators
-
Source and order components such as generators, electronic parts, filters, and mechanical hardware

Work with electrical engineers—both domestic and international—to design and build control systems

Troubleshoot issues during assembly and develop practical solutions

Support prototype development, testing, and continuous improvement

Manage projects and maintain organized workflows with minimal supervision

Communicate with a wide range of partners, including international collaborators
