One of the best things we can do for our children is to help
them land a job. Whether it’s their first job or their tenth, getting a job can
be a daunting task for anyone. As much as we want to help, it’s important to
understand how to do so in a way that doesn’t hinder our loved ones. Here are

While it’s important to offer support, it’s equally
important to give your loved one space and respect their independence. Don’t
check in too often or pressure them to take a job they aren’t interested in.
Let them make their own choices and be there to offer guidance if they need it.
Do: Connect them with your professional network.
If you know someone in your industry
who may be able to help your loved one, don’t hesitate to make an introduction.
Providing them with access to a wider network of professionals can be hugely
beneficial during their job search.
Helping your child get a job can be a
great way to support their goals and ambitions. However, it’s important to
remember that they need to learn to navigate the job market themselves.
