Mark and Rebecca Herbst purchased the Express Employment Professionals Downtown Baton Rouge office in late 2019 with the goal of helping as many people as possible find great jobs and by helping companies find great, hard-working people. Both met at Louisiana State University over 25 years ago and remain committed to their Baton Rouge community. They humbly lead a small team daily to ensure that they are able to execute this dream of helping and serving others in their area.
Rebecca received her Masters in Social Work from LSU and worked as a social worker for 18 years. While she loved her career in social work, she feels that recruiting and staffing at Express Employment Professionals to coordinate job seekers with great companies is just a continuation of her love of helping people. She enjoys getting to know people, where they come from, their backgrounds, and learning about what their individual goals and business needs are in the Greater Baton Rouge area.
Mark received dual degrees at LSU in International Trade and Finance and Spanish. His past employment included banking and managing a commercial lending team for many years in Baton Rouge. He retired from banking and joined their business full time in January 2022. Mark is able to continue pursuing his love for the finance/management industry by acting as the bookkeeper for the office and ensuring that everything is running smoothly and effectively.
In their free time, Mark and Rebecca are parishioners at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and enjoy spending time with their two sons, Jackson and Wesley, their dog Lulu, playing tennis and golf, spending time outdoors, and of course all things LSU!
