Brand It Blue Initiative
The Brand It Blue Initiative was born out of a desire to serve and partner with a variety of nonprofit organizations in more than 800 locations in the United States, Canada, and South Africa. As part of the mission of Express Employment Professionals, our franchises help connect qualified job seekers with reputable companies, but also go above and beyond to provide hope to their communities.
In recent years, franchise offices partnered with local food banks to help end chronic hunger. Between 2013 – 2017, Express staff, associates, clients, friends, and family provided nearly 600,000 meals through food drives, monetary collections, and volunteer hours served!
Realizing our franchisees our passionate about numerous causes, from hunger to education, homeless animals to senior citizens, the Brand It Blue Initiative is now a year-long, expanded philanthropic effort. We invite you to join us as we give back.

The employees of a nationally-franchised company known for fulfilling critical employment needs gave up free time on a recent Saturday to sort soft drinks and stack boxes as part of a day of volunteerism called "Brand It Blue Day."
"It's a way for us to really give back to our community," said Diego Lejwa, DeSoto and Shelby counties franchisee and owner of Express Employment Professionals in Southaven. "There are so many families who need it in DeSoto and Marshall counties."
This past Saturday, Express Employment Professionals offices from California to North Carolina to Canada joined together at local food banks and pantries to help fight hunger, a growing epidemic that impacts millions of people in the U.S., Canada and around the world every day. During that time, more than 200 Express offices and 1,500 volunteers have donated their time and resources to provide more than 156,000 meals to local food banks and charitable organizations. Saturday marked the fourth year that the staffing company has held "Brand It Blue Day."
Express began hosting a food drive at its franchise office at 5740 Getwell Road in early May. On Saturday, volunteers gathered the food and transported it to the HeartLand Hands Food Pantry, where they helped sort and package items on site.
"We've done this in the past with the food pantry in Olive Branch," Lejwa said. "We found out about HeartLand Hands about two months ago. What's impressive about them is that they help families not only in DeSoto and Marshall counties but across North Mississippi."
Pastor Mike Higgins with HeartLand Hands Food Pantry said the food pantry opened its doors in November of 2006.
"Because of the dedication of companies like this, this operation works," Higgins said. "We're touching about 3,000 lives a month."
