Michael and his wife, Gwendolyn Wood, purchased the Miami-Dade North Express Employment Professionals Franchise in April of 2008 and opened for business on September 29, 2008.

Before launching the Express franchise, Michael had successful careers in governmental relations, business development plus learning and development. He has extensive experience in the financial services, retail, call center and virtual learning fields. He served as Vice President and President of the Miami Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development and is currently the Chair of the Economic Development Committee of the Town of Miami Lakes. 

Michael graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration and has received the EUCP (Express University Certified Professional) designation.
