    Environmental Health & Safety Manager

    • Support a ONE Company approach to achieving company safety and environmental performance objectives through effective collaboration with corporate and divisional EHS staff.
    • Lead efforts to enhance hazard recognition, promote injury prevention, drive employee engagement, and improve safe behaviors at assigned facilities.
    • Work with company leadership, facility personnel, and company EHS personnel to develop and implement effective EHS strategies.
    • Drive efforts to achieve and maintain OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), ISO 45001 certification or equivalent at assigned locations.
    • Support site managers, employees, and safety teams on initiatives and programs for compliance with all federal, state, and local safety, health and environmental regulations.
    • Support site personnel in investigating incidents and injury-free events, implementing corrective actions from internal and external audits, and communicating with regulatory agencies, as required.
    • Develop capital project requests for machine guarding, ergonomics, dock safety, and other hazard mitigation projects.
    • Provide support for Culture of Zero and Sustainability (Living Well and Growing Green) goals and initiatives.
    • Complete assigned projects in a timely, effective manner.
    • Help drive employee engagement to create and foster a proactive, empowered safety culture.
    • Establish and report site key EHS performance metrics to ensure scorecard objectives are met.
    • Manage incident reporting process including completion of investigations/RCA's, implementation of corrective actions, and communication to key stakeholders.
    • Assist in establishing site strategies, systems and controls to assure company objectives and compliance in the areas of environmental, health and safety.
    • Coordinate process improvements that will reduce injuries and incidents and minimize employee exposures and environmental impacts.
    • Perform other activities as required to support overall plant EHS and training effectiveness.

    Automation Engineer

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

     PLC Programming and HMI design for automated equipment.

    • Motion control programming with servo and VFD drives.
    • Design, program, and implement robotic processes for automated cells.
    • Design and implement safety circuits and protocols for automated equipment.
    • Participate in industrial machinery safety risk analysis.
    • Publish drawings, work instructions, SOP's, and training documents for automated processes.
    • Provide training to teammates running automated equipment.
    • Mechanical ability to assemble and fix complex automated machinery mechanics including but not limited to, air cylinder actuators, nip rolls, linear actuators (rack and pinion, lead screw, and belt drive), AC motor drive systems, stepper driven systems, and servo driven systems.
    • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and concepts either on your own or in a classroom environment.
    • Ability to work and interact within multi-functional project groups.
    • Other duties required.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Technical Skills

    • Programming:  Ladder Logic, Structured Text, HMI layout, Python, SQL Database, VFD, Safety Devices
    • Networking:  Ethernet/IP, Managed and Unmanaged Switch Configuration including VLAN setup
    • Electrical Design:  Industrial high voltage (480V) and low voltage (24VDC) circuits, sensors, safety devices, and servo axes motion profiling
    • Machine Design:  Machine wiring, control panel wiring, and cable management through knowledge and application of the following standards; NEC, NFPA 79, and UL508.
      • Tools:  Use of basic tools, including but not limited to screw drivers, drills, caliper, micrometer, wire stripper, tape measure, and multimeters.
      • Software:  AutoCad Electrical, RS Logix 5000 and 500, MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams), Windows, NAV, MotoSIM, Ignition, AutoCad Inventor, Wrike.

       

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE   

      Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or similar field from an accredited university or college; years of experience may be substituted for degree. Knowledge and experience preferred. Yaskawa robotics, Rockwell PLCs, Ignition HMI/SCADA, and ability to design and implement robotic work cells. Ability to read measuring equipment, drawings, and printouts required. 


    Salary Range $70,000-$80,000+ depending on experience

    Purpose of position:
    Support plant Production and Administration by procuring goods and/or services while controlling the price, quality, lead time and service. 

    • Procure goods and/or services and schedule delivery logistics of inbound cargo.
    • Select best supplier for needed goods and services based on price, quality, and service.
    • Work to acquire multiple suppliers for support and raw materials to minimize production risk.
    • Have knowledge of (and working relationship with) approved suppliers.
    • Monitor and track purchase price variance for repetitive purchases (domestic and international).
    • Negotiate prices and discounts with suppliers with proper documentation and reporting.
    • Work with company Technical and Engineering teams to acquire materials to be used in trials.
    • Report to Purchasing Manager regularly regarding inventory levels and forecasting.
    • Submit annual targets for cost reductions and supplier situational improvements.
    • Interact with appropriate departments to procure materials to meet designated production requirements.
    • Understand, monitor, and report purchase price variances on raw materials.
    • Work directly with freight forwarders/Customs brokers to ensure imported goods comply to all regulations.
    • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of all cargo imported into the U.S. (for potential Customs audit).
    • Cross-train in the analysis and creation of purchase orders within SAP (and using company credit card).
    • Prepare and submit completed setup documents for new vendors according to company registered procedure.
    • Other tasks as assigned and required.


    College degree in Purchasing or related Business field preferred .  Experience in Purchasing related work.  
    • Working knowledge of proper Procurement standards.  Knowledge of purchasing and negotiations preferred.  Also Experience with SAP preferred.
