This biannual report tracks the latest job market trends across a wide range of industries to provide job seekers with the tools to make the most of their next career move. Adaptability is becoming a critical career skill in today’s workplace:

97% of job seekers say it is important for candidates to be able to adapt to fit in a company or team culture

84% agree adapting to a company’s culture is now considered a core professional skill

68% have adapted their personality to fit a company or team culture

Flexible work opportunities continue to create new ways for job seekers to build experience and develop skills:

63% of job seekers value flexible hours

55% have worked as a contract worker at some point

54% value making their own schedule

45% cite gaining new skills as a reason to engage in contract work

Seasonal jobs are helping workers develop transferable skills that support long-term career growth:

90% of job seekers agree seasonal work provides valuable skills that easily transfer to other industries or careers

51% cite professional development as a reason for taking these roles

Skills seasonal work can build include, adaptability (55%), problem-solving (52%), time management (49%), ability to work under pressure (49%), teamwork (47%), and teamwork (47%)

AI expectations continue to rise, but human skills remain essential:

90% of job seekers believe employers expect candidates to have any level of AI skills

88% believe they already possess any AI skills

Job seekers believe employers consider work ethic (42%), ability to work well in a team (42%), dependability (41%), accountability (41%), technical skills (24%), and AI skills (12%) absolutely essential for job applicants
