Job Title: Ice Cream Maker / Shift Manager
Location: Orange Beach, AL
Pay: $14.00/hour + tips
Schedule: 5 days/week (40 hours), must be available all 7 days
Shifts: Primarily evenings
Position Summary:
We are looking for a strong, reliable, and customer-focused Ice Cream Maker/Manager to join our team. This role involves operating heavy mixers and ice cream machines, leading the team in the absence of the owner, and delivering exceptional service to our guests—many of whom are families and children. If you enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment and have a passion for sweet treats and great service, we’d love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain commercial ice cream machines and mixers
- Prepare and serve ice cream and related products to customers
- Lead and support team members during shifts when the owner is not present
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace
- Provide friendly, patient, and professional service to all guests
- Handle cash and tips responsibly
- Maintain a clean-cut, professional appearance (hair must be tied back if long)
Requirements:
- Must be physically strong and able to operate heavy equipment
- Must be 5’5” or taller to safely operate machines
- Prior experience in food service or customer-facing roles preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must be available evenings and flexible to work any day of the week
- Friendly, mature, and able to work well with both children and adults
- Clean and professional appearance required
