Job Full Description
Counter Sales Clerk
- Location: Foley, AL
- Shift: 7am – 5pm (must be available to work 1 Saturday per month)
- Pay: $18
This is a growth-oriented position designed to train and promote the right candidate from warehouse and delivery operations into a customer-facing Counter Sales role. The initial 2–3 months will be spent in the warehouse and on deliveries to learn the materials and products. After training, the candidate will transition to Counter Sales, assisting electrical contractors with parts and supply needs.
Phase 1: Warehouse & Delivery Driver
- Load, transport, and deliver electrical supplies to contractor sites
- Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory
- Pull ticket orders accurately based on part numbers
- Operate or learn to operate a forklift
- Lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), including pipe and wire
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Learn product lines and inventory systems
Phase 2: Counter Sales & Parts
- Provide knowledgeable and efficient customer service to electrical contractors
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing electrical parts and supplies
- Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and part identification
- Maintain organized and well-stocked counter area
- Continue learning product details and inventory updates
🧠 Knowledge & Requirements
· Must be 21 years old to operate company delivery vehicles
· Clean driving record
· Electrical experience (e.g., helper or apprentice) preferred
· Strong customer service skills and ability to work with demanding clientele
· Ability to read and identify small electrical part numbers
· Willingness to learn and grow within the company
· Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and work in warehouse conditions
· Forklift experience or willingness to complete training
