Location: Daphne, AL
Pay: $17–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Clerk for a fast-paced, patient-focused eye clinic in Daphne, Alabama. This role is essential to creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth daily clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional, welcoming manner
- Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect copays, and process payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and demographics in the EHR system
- Handle referrals, prior authorizations, and basic insurance questions
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff to support efficient clinic operations
- Keep the front desk and waiting area clean, organized, and compliant with HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous medical or optometry/ophthalmology front desk experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
- Comfortable using computers, EHR systems, and basic office equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance
