Job Full Description
We have an opening for a Machine Operator position working at a metal fabricating facility located in Decatur, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.
Skills/Qualifications
Previous experience operating any of the following industrial machinery would be a plus.
- Flat Bed Laser
- Horizontal Band Saw
- Horizontal Pivot Saw
- Oxyfuel Plasma Cutter
- Industrial Shear
- Multi-Ton Press Brake
- Sideloader
Must be capable of working effectively in extreme working conditions with excessive noise levels.
Must be willing to regularly wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, etc.).
Must be proficient in English language.
Ability to lift 35 lb. unassisted.
Punctuality and dependability.
Duties/Responsibilities
Operate industrial machinery to cut, melt/etch, bend/shape bulk steel and aluminum materials into various lengths, shapes, and sizes per customer specifications.
Operate a sideloader to move finished products in/out of inventory.
