Job Full Description
We have an opening for a Forklift Operator position working at a company in Athens, AL that manufactures pressure-treated lumber products. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.
*** THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; MONDAY - FRIDAY) ***
Skills/Qualifications
Previous forklift experience is REQUIRED.
Must be available to work 10-hour shifts.
Must be capable of working an entire work week on a consistent basis.
Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 lb. unassisted.
Punctuality and dependability.
Duties/Responsibilities
Move raw materials from inventory to production areas.
Move finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods, and label materials.
Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
Maintains rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
Maintains correct paperwork and production records as required.
Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist items and report any problems or concerns.
Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
Performs other duties as required.
