Job Full Description
We have an opening for a CDL-A Driver position working for an industrial recycling and scrap management company located at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA (MTMUS) facility in Madison, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.
*** A VALID ALABAMA CLASS A CDL IS REQUIRED ***
Skills/Qualifications
Must have a valid Alabama Class A CDL and DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Road Test.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED, or 5-years of experience as a commercial truck driver.
Must have a command of the English language and good verbal and written skills.
Must have basic math skills and ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals.
Must have a working knowledge of the metric system.
Must have basic computer skills including word processing.
Qualified candidates must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings and participate in random drug testing as outlined by DOT and Company Regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities
Monitor transfer reports and move coils as needed for production/operations.
Complete daily log sheet of work completed during shift.
Follow all written instructions to perform job duties properly and safely.
Operate equipment as needed to perform job duties.
Ensures data is entered into the computer system(s).
Performs visual checks of product to ensure all applicable standards are met.
Performs all work in a safe manner and ensures safety in the work area.
Participate in the Kaizen (continuous improvement) program.
