We have an opening for a CNC Press Brake Lead position working at a contract manufacturing facility located in Decatur, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.
Skills/Qualifications
Minimum of 10-years of press brake experience is REQUIRED.
Must have previous leadership experience.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations.
Must be able to operate, install tooling and set-up mechanical or pneumatic press brakes.
Must be able to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection using calipers and basic measuring tools.
Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to lift 50 lb. unassisted.
High school education or GED.
Duties/Responsibilities
Utilize work center dispatch reports in due date order to coordinate workflow scheduling. Exceptions will be communicated by production control or operations manager.
Assist Press Brake Operators with set-ups, questions and workload responsibilities.
Ensure operators are adequately trained and equipped so that work can be performed in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner.
Keep Operations Manager advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.
Work with Engineering on first articles, new projects, etc.
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on press brake as required.
Maintain work area in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
Perform all other duties, as assigned.
