Bilingual Leasing Agent (HUD/Tax Credit Experience)
South Phoenix, Full Time, plus Saturday's until at compliance (5 day work week)
8am-5pm
$24.00/hr
About the Role
The Leasing Agent plays a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient leasing experience for current and prospective residents. This position is ideal for someone who is bilingual (English + Spanish) and has experience working with HUD, Tax Credit (LIHTC), or other affordable housing programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet, engage, and assist prospective residents with tours, applications, and leasing inquiries.
- Communicate effectively in both English and [second language] to support diverse resident needs.
- Process rental applications, verify eligibility, and ensure compliance with HUD and/or Tax Credit program requirements.
- Maintain accurate resident files, documentation, and reporting in accordance with federal, state, and property guidelines.
- Support annual recertifications, income verifications, and compliance audits.
- Provide excellent customer service to current residents, addressing questions, concerns, and service requests.
- Assist with marketing efforts, outreach, and community events to promote occupancy.
- Collaborate with property management to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Uphold fair housing laws and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Previous leasing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HUD, LIHTC (Tax Credit), or other affordable housing programs is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in affordable housing are a bonus.
- Reliable transportation and a valid DL, as this positions requires marketing in the surrounding area.
