Job Full Description
Position: Lead Service Technician
Pay: $18–$30/hr DOE
Schedule: 6am-3pm, No OT
Overview:
We are seeking 1 Lead Technician and 2 Entry-Level Technicians to service and repair outdoor power equipment. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining lawn mowers and similar landscape equipment while delivering excellent customer service and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair small engines (lawn mowers, tractors, and other equipment)
- Inspect, dismantle, clean, and replace defective parts as needed
- Set up new equipment and prepare it for customer delivery
- Communicate repair status and recommendations with management
- Maintain tools and equipment with care
- Follow OSHA safety standards at all times
- Assist with additional shop duties as needed
Requirements:
- 1+ year of mechanical experience OR technical/trade school training (Lead role requires stronger experience)
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Ability to tow a utility trailer
- Own basic tools for engine/equipment repair
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Must be 18+
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with 2-cycle, 4-cycle, or light diesel engines
- Electrical and hydraulic system knowledge
- Equipment & Engine Training Certifications (EETC)
