Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to support our operations in South Phoenix on a short-term contract basis. This role will assist with day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring timely ordering, accurate recordkeeping, and smooth communication with vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and process purchase orders for supplies and materials
- Track orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely arrival
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records
- Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, and resolve issues
- Verify invoices and match them to purchase orders and receipts
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with reordering as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to support operational needs
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and data entry accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or purchasing systems/ERP
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
