HR Administrative Support/Generalist
Location: McGehee, Arkansas area
Pay: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience
Assignment: 3–4 month temporary position
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced HR Administrative Support/Generalist for a temporary assignment with a local manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support, assist with recruiting and onboarding, and help maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
Administrative Support
- Coordinate routine and ad hoc meetings, events, and strategy sessions, including logistics, materials, and site preparation.
- Provide administrative support and update business documents.
- Assist with employee engagement activities, recognition events, and workplace initiatives.
- Support site leadership with administrative coordination, communications, and special projects.
- Assist with HR meetings, communications, mailings, and administrative activities.
- Manage office supplies, vendor services, work orders, deliveries, shipments, and incoming/outgoing mail.
- Maintain office space, furnishings, and professional workplace appearance in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for building visitors and coordinate employee building access, onboarding logistics, and security needs.
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communications, and interview scheduling.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and assist with preparing position descriptions.
- Coordinate pre-employment processes, including testing, background checks, reference checks, and required documentation.
- Support new hire onboarding, orientation preparation, and scheduling.
Payroll & Compliance
- Assist with payroll processing, reporting, and accuracy by partnering with site leadership and payroll teams.
- Maintain employee records and documentation in accordance with company requirements and regulatory standards.
- Support compliance activities related to employment regulations, including EEO, Affirmative Action, FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, and SOX requirements.
- Provide reporting, documentation, and administrative support for audits and compliance reviews.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous HR administrative or generalist experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and other online data management tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to use virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work on-site five days per week.
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
