Kitchen Staff – Part Time
DeWitt, AR | $13.00 per hour | Approximately 32 hours per week
Hiring on behalf of a client: We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Kitchen Staff member to assist with daily kitchen operations and meal preparation. This position is responsible for helping prepare and serve meals and snacks, maintaining food inventory and supplies, and keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitary.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist the Dietary Manager with preparing weekly and monthly menus as requested.
- Receive, put away, and properly store food and kitchen supply orders.
- Arrange and maintain food and related items in appropriate storage areas.
- Assist with weekly inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
- Keep the kitchen adequately stocked to meet residents' needs.
- Assist with preparing and serving lunch.
- Prepare after-school snacks and dinner.
- Prepare and serve snacks between 3:00 PM–4:00 PM, depending on the schedule.
- Assist with dinner service from approximately 5:30 PM–6:15 PM.
- Clean and maintain the kitchen throughout the day, including spot-cleaning while cooking and thorough cleaning after each meal.
- Clean refrigerators and freezers weekly and as needed.
- Clean all cooking equipment and utensils daily, including the microwave and deep fryer.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Administration or the Dietary Manager.
Qualifications:
- Dependable and responsible.
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Able to follow instructions and food safety procedures.
- Previous kitchen, food service, or meal preparation experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work well with others and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Pay: $13.00 per hour
