Job Title: Sales Desk Specialist
Location: Oakland, Ca
Job Type: Temp to perm- 7:00AM to 3:30 PM Monday -Friday
Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Desk Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting walk-in customers, handling inbound sales calls, preparing quotes, processing orders, and providing product recommendations. This role requires previous experience in construction materials or hardware sales and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist walk-in clients with product inquiries and purchases
- Prepare and issue accurate sales quotes in a timely manner
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and messages related to product or service inquiries
- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of products, pricing, and promotions
- Follow up on open quotes and customer inquiries to convert leads into sales
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the sales desk area
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the CRM system
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Resolve product or service issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in construction supply, building materials, or hardware sales
- Minimum 2 years of sales or customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM systems a plus
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
