Pay: $44–$60/hour

We're seeking an experienced Senior Designer to lead electric distribution design and staking projects for utility clients. This role provides technical leadership, project oversight, client support, and staff mentoring while ensuring quality, safety, and operational excellence. 

What You'll Do

• Lead complex electric distribution and communications design projects.
• Oversee field staking, route planning, and construction package development.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Serve as a technical expert for design challenges and quality standards.
• Mentor and support Designer/Staker team members.
• Assist with business development and process improvements. 

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 20+ years of electric distribution design, staking, surveying, or related utility experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in the Durango area.

Preferred:

• Associate or technical degree.
• Experience with GIS, utility design software, PLS-CADD, and O-Calc.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
