Job Title: Utility Cleaner
Location: Plant City, FL
Schedule: 1st Shift with some overtime
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Utility Cleaner to join our team in Plant City. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness around the shop and supporting various operational needs. Your duties will include cutting grass, sweeping floors, emptying garbage, and properly maintaining tools and equipment. You will also have the opportunity to cross-train and learn to operate manufacturing machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including cutting grass, sweeping floors, and emptying garbage cans.
- Properly maintain and care for tools and equipment used in cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Learn to operate manufacturing machinery, such as cranes and forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Cross-train in various work areas to support production needs as required.
- Ensure that your work area and department are secure, clean, and properly shut down at the end of each workday (e.g., turn off all lights, machines, gas).
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing duties.
- Complete other job duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Willingness to learn and operate manufacturing machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
