Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Ruskin, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday (additional hours or weekends as needed)
Pay: $20/hr. + Based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Maintenance Technician I to join our team in Ruskin, FL. This role is responsible for supporting daily maintenance and repair activities across machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude toward safety and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, mechanical systems, electrical components, and building infrastructure

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues on production or facility equipment

Conduct preventive maintenance checks and document findings to reduce equipment downtime

Respond promptly to maintenance service requests from various departments

Maintain tools and equipment in safe and working condition

Assist in general facility upkeep, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC filters, and minor carpentry work

Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with company policies and safety regulations

Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and service logs
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred

1–2 years of experience in a maintenance, facilities, or mechanical repair role

Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Comfortable using hand and power tools, ladders, and diagnostic equipment

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various environments, and stand/walk for extended periods

Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Skills (Not Required):

Experience with forklifts, conveyors, or production machinery

Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)

Basic welding or fabrication skills
