Setup Technician / Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)
Pay: $21/hr + BOE
Location: Plant City, FL
A local equipment service operation is seeking a skilled Setup Technician / PDI Technician to support equipment assembly, inspection, maintenance, and repair. This role involves working on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems and requires strong diagnostic ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble, inspect, service, and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment

Perform repairs ranging from basic mechanical work to advanced technical diagnostics

Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems

Use computer-based systems for work orders, documentation, and reporting

Maintain accurate service records and customer documentation
-
Communicate clearly with internal teams and maintain a professional work environment

Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times

Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
3–5 years of hands-on mechanical experience (equipment, construction, or related fields preferred)

Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills

Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics

Experience diagnosing diesel engines

Familiarity with computerized diagnostic systems; telematics experience a plus

Certification in automotive air-conditioning preferred

Valid Florida Driver’s License

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and varying weather conditions

Basic computer skills, data entry, and report writing ability
