Lead European Automotive Diagnostic Technician
Location: Brandon/Valrico, FL
Pay: $25+/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with the possibility of later hours depending on workload

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Lead European Automotive Diagnostic Technician for a well-established automotive shop in the Brandon/Valrico area.
We are looking for a highly skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities and hands-on experience working specifically with European vehicles. This position is ideal for someone who can confidently troubleshoot complex issues, perform quality repairs, and work independently in a busy shop environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on European vehicles
- Work with makes including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Mini
- Use factory-level diagnostic software and scan tools such as ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS, Autel, or similar platforms
- Interpret fault codes, wiring diagrams, technical data, and manufacturer repair information
- Perform electrical testing and isolation to accurately identify vehicle issues
- Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI)
- Perform road tests before and after repairs to verify concerns and ensure repair quality
- Handle mechanical repairs and maintenance as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostic findings and completed repairs
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3–5+ years of recent hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing European vehicles
- Previous experience in a European specialty shop, independent repair facility, or dealership
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience using advanced scan tools, wiring schematics, oscilloscopes, and factory technical databases
- Must have your own well-stocked professional toolbox appropriate for an experienced/lead technician
- ASE certifications (A1–A8 or Master Technician) are preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop
Pay starts at $25+/hour and will be based on experience and skill level.
