Responsibilities and Duties
Logistics :
- Negotiate Inbound & Outbound truck freight rate and schedule it accordingly.
- Coordinate containers from overseas factories; ISF, BOL and all import / export documents and work with customs broker to effectively and timely cargo clearance.
- Review the correct HTS classification of the products and duties involved thereof.
- Maintaining accurate logs of all inbound containers; proactive communication to all associated parties
- Act as liaison with clients, couriers, Samples, warehouse and sales team
- Work closely to review any legitimate arrival fees, duties, handling charges are paid in a timely manner and dispute unauthorized charges.
- Ensure incoming containers are pulled out within the free days from the port and drayage to the PLH or customer warehouse at cost effective.
- Detailed review and consistent monitoring of all charges including storages related to inbound containers is essential; closely monitor containers pulled for customs inspection.
- Ensure that quality assurance checks are completed and maintained with every shipment and provide the manager with the receiving report.
Warehouse/Distribution operations
- Responsible for day-to-day activities of directing, controlling and coordinating all phases of the Distribution operations.
- Manage inventory receiving, warehousing, picking, and shipping functions
- Oversee all administrative activities and ensure all documentation is completed and accurate
- Directly responsible for the supervision, management, hiring, training and development of the warehouse team
- Some product received will require assembly, therefore, the Warehouse manager must be proficient with tools·
- Responsible for the preparation and completion of work orders, pick and pack as needed.
- Responsible for inventory receive, quality check, controls, and cycle counts
- Verifies inventory accuracy is maintained at levels acceptable to company standards
- Supervises inbound replenishment shipments and ensure adequate inventory to support service teams.
- Providing assistance to the General Manager on special projects as required
- Retrieves supplies and materials by studying specifications; locating and verifying supplies and materials; secures pallet on truck
- Maintains inventory in staging area by anticipating and tracking usage
- Clears warehouse area by securing and moving finished pallets; moving empty pallets
- Maintains safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Knows to drive forklift and keep forklift operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
- Facility supervision and management to ensure building is maintained , secured
- Provide coordination and administration for repair and maintenance projects.
- Source materials, equipment, and furnishings.
- Schedule and coordinate repairs with all parties (management, center operations, contractor, landlord, etc.) to ensure timely execution and completion.
