Job Full Description
Position Summary
The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in a production shop environment. This is a shop-only position (no field/site work). The position is temporary-to-hire, with the opportunity for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plate and sheet
- Read and interpret shop prints and blueprints accurately
- Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines and related fabrication equipment
- Perform layout, fit-up, and fabrication of parts and assemblies
- Use precision measuring tools including dial calipers
- Verify dimensions and tolerances to meet specifications
- Maintain welding quality standards in accordance with company requirements
- Keep the welding and fabrication area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of welding/fabrication experience
- Proficiency in GTAW and GMAW processes
- Experience welding plate and sheet metal
- Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements, tolerances)
- Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing shop environment
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to welding fumes, grinding, and fabrication equipment

This is a temporary-to-hire position. Continued employment and transition to permanent status are contingent upon job performance, reliability, attendance, and operational needs
