Job Full Description
Position Summary
The non-CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport office and commercial furniture to customer locations throughout Florida. This position assists with loading, unloading, assembly, installation, and setup of furniture while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional appearance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company box truck or delivery vehicle that does not require a CDL.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload furniture and related products.
- Assist with commercial furniture installation, assembly, and workstation setup.
- Read delivery schedules, work orders, and installation drawings.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Work closely with installation crews, project managers, and customers on-site.
- Maintain a clean, organized truck and work area.
- Remove packaging materials and job-site debris after installation.
- Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations applicable to non-CDL drivers.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and installations.
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery, moving, warehouse, or furniture installation experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry 75-100 pounds with team assistance as needed.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and work quality.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to travel locally and work occasional overtime when needed.
