Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is hiring Machine Operators for a growing food production and packaging company. This is a great opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, packaging, or machine operating experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate production and packaging machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.
- Set up and operate equipment according to established procedures.
- Make minor machine and program adjustments, including weight settings, bag length changes, and photo eye adjustments.
- Change film, tooling, and machine components as needed during production runs.
- Monitor products and packaging to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
- Perform machine changeovers, equipment setups, and breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and make basic mechanical adjustments when needed.
- Maintain accurate monitoring of machine performance, meters, and air lines.
- Clean and sanitize machinery and work areas following food safety standards.
- Follow all GMP, OSHA, health, and safety regulations.
- Assist with other production-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain dependable attendance and work overtime when required.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Associate, or Packaging Operator.
- Experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or industrial production environments.
- Familiarity with GMP standards, quality control procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
- Experience performing equipment setup, changeovers, and minor machine adjustments.
Required Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
