Diesel Technician
Long Term – Full Time
Express Employment in Temple Terrace is currently hiring candidates for a Diesel Technician for a local company in NE Tampa. The position is full-time and has long-term opportunities. A Diesel Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. This includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly. The role requires a strong understanding of diesel engines and their components, along with the ability to work with various diagnostic tools and equipment.

DETAILED SUMMARY:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in diesel engines and related systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and ensure that all vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, necessary repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Vocational training or certification in diesel technology or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
