Fleet Technician
Long Term – Full Time
Express Employment in Temple Terrace is currently hiring candidates for a Diesel Technician for a local company in NE Tampa. The position is full-time and has long-term opportunities. A Fleet Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. This includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly. The role requires a strong understanding of diesel engines and their components, along with the ability to work with various diagnostic tools and equipment.

DETAILED SUMMARY:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.
- Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Maintain accurate records of all services, repairs, and inspections performed on vehicles.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns or emergency repair situations to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to safety and company standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Vocational training or certification in diesel technology or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
