A company in Carrollton is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal. We are seeking for a reliable, organized and experienced Litigation Paralegal / Senior Paralegal for a long - term position. This role requires a proactive professional who can manage cases from intake through resolution, support attorneys across multiple practice areas, and maintain a high level of professionalism in client-facing interactions.
The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, dedicated to long-term employment, and capable of working independently while supporting a fast -paced litigation environment.
Professional attire and Punctuality are required.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable paralegal or legal experience.
- Background Check: Must be willing and able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and the MyCase case management platform.
- Core Skills: Strong legal writing, proofreading, organization, and deadline-management abilities.
- Professional Demeanor: Outgoing, professional, dependable, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Scope Case Handling: Open and set up new cases from intake through all preparatory stages required before attorney review and litigation oversight.
- Discovery Management: Draft, serve, track, and manage discovery requests and responses; maintain production logs and ensure accurate Bates labeling.
- Medical Records & Summaries: Request, track, organize, and summarize medical and billing records; prepare detailed medical chronologies and summaries.
- Drafting & Filing: Draft motions, routine pleadings, notices, affidavits, and proposed orders; handle e-filing in state and federal courts.
- Practice Area Support: Assist with matters involving Workers’ Compensation, Social Security, Family Law, and general litigation.
- Case Management: Maintain calendars with strict deadline control; coordinate experts, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, courts, and opposing counsel, ensuring professional, clear, and empathetic communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with medical lien tracking and settlement documentation.
- Current Notary Public commission.
- Demonstrated job stability and a well-rounded professional personality.
- Legal work history limited to law-related roles; backgrounds primarily in customer service, retail, or fast food environments are not considered a strong fit for this position.
Schedule: 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 / Hour (Based on experience)
