Express is looking for a Yarn Processor responsible for set-up, operation and adjustment of winding and twisting equipment; including threading machines, monitoring for broken threads, performing quality checks, and maintaining production efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to stand for periods of time
The candidate must pass a Color Test
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Monitor and maintain equipment to company standards. Thread yarn through guides, rollers, and tension arms, and operate winding and twisting machinery.
- Quality Control: Responsible for Quality Assurance and Order documentation. Inspect finished yarn and packages to ensure meeting specifications.
- Product Handling: Replace full, finished packages (cones/spools) with empty ones and manage material flow.
- Maintenance & Repair: Fix broken ends (splicing/piecing), clear jams, and perform minor mechanical adjustments.
Requirements:
- Must understand the quality process with attention to detail.
- Possesses an understanding of machinery and technical aspects of the job and equipment
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand motions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, and reach overhead.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to see color and pass the Farnworth Munsell 100 Hue Test
Schedule: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $17.20 / Hour
