Extruder Operator Assistant
Social Circle, GA
$18/hour
Summary:
Assist in the safe and efficient operation of extrusion equipment to meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feed/remove materials from extrusion machines
- Assist with machine startup, shutdown, and changeovers
- Monitor production, pellet size, and quality standards
- Troubleshoot process issues and support repairs
- Perform resin checks, output testing, and lab support
- Maintain clean, safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Support team members and perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years Extruder experience preferred
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 60 lbs regularly
- Stand, bend, stoop, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Work around machinery, heat, noise, and industrial conditions
