Job Title: Purchasing & Order Entry Specialist
Location: Onsite (West Des Moines, IA)
Pay Range: $27–$30/hour (with flexibility for the right candidate)
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Purchasing & Order Entry Specialist to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations between our sales team, corporate support team, and third-party vendors. The majority of this position will be focused on accurately entering and processing orders in our operating system, but it also requires strong communication skills to track order changes, resolve delays, and build trusted partnerships across multiple teams.
What You’ll Do:

Enter and process orders into the operating system based on sales activity, including initial orders, re-orders, and credits.

Track order progress and manage updates such as delays, schedule adjustments, and changes.

Place orders with third-party vendors and coordinate delivery timelines.

Collaborate closely with the sales team and corporate support team to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners to support order flow and resolve issues.

Identify and address discrepancies or challenges quickly and professionally.
Schedule & Work Environment:

Onsite role with flexible start time between 7:00–8:00 AM.

Some overtime may be required during peak seasons; most of the year no overtime is needed.

No regular travel; optional training opportunity in Chicago (3–4 days) may be available.
Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or order management preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Willingness to learn product knowledge and processes—training provided for the right cultural fit.

Proficiency in order management or ERP systems a plus.
