Maintenance Engineer September 8, 2025

Located in West Des Moines, IA

Pay: $55,000 - $65,000

Duties:

Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
Works with Maintenance Manager to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks
Assess building systems to plan work assignments
Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
Assist team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments
Works with Operations Manager to coordinate topics for safety meetings
Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
At least five years of industrial maintenance experience required
Extensive knowledge of building systems, such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed
Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory
