Job Full Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong background in benefits and leave administration. This role will focus on supporting our team members through accurate benefits administration, leave processes, and related HR programs. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of HR experience, with a solid understanding of benefits, leave management, and HRIS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration

    • Administer all benefit programs including health and welfare plans, tuition reimbursement, worker’s compensation, and STD/LTD.

    • Process all benefit changes in the HRIS system (new hire, termination, status changes, address updates, etc.) to ensure accurate records and payroll deductions.

    • Collaborate with brokers and carriers to resolve issues, maintain accurate portals and HRIS connections, and manage updates.

    • Respond to team member benefit questions and assist with communication and education on available plans and changes.

    • Monitor company intranet and communication channels to ensure all benefit-related documents are accurate and up to date.

  • Leave Administration

    • Partner with leave management vendor to administer FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Parental Leave, Caregiver Leave, and related programs.

    • Provide guidance to team members on leave processes and documentation requirements.

    • Maintain accurate tracking and ensure timely communication with payroll and other stakeholders.

  • Open Enrollment & Vendor Support

    • Support and coordinate annual Open Enrollment, including communication, logistics, HRIS updates, and submission of elections to carriers.

    • Assist in evaluating vendors and making recommendations to improve employee experience and efficiency.

    • Partner with HRIS vendor on annual 1095 statements.

  • Additional HR Support

    • Compile and process monthly service awards and other employee recognition programs.

    • Track and administer additional employee perks and reimbursements (college savings, health/fitness reimbursements, ARAG Cares benefits, etc.).

    • Prepare exit packets and ensure timely processing of departing employees.

    • Provide light support in compensation-related projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience with a focus on benefits and leave administration.

  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave-related regulations.

  • Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits portals.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
