Job Overview
Express Employment has partnered with a company in the West Des Moines area that is seeking a Skilled Construction Laborer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various craftsmanship techniques and demonstrate a passion for creating high-quality work.
Duties
- Help execute various craftsmanship tasks including hanging and fitting pipe, helping with ground work, sewers, water and hydronics
- Strong background in construction trades, including plumbing and piping.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times while working on-site.
- Provide creative input during the design phase of projects to enhance functionality and aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of craftsmanship techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks as required.
