Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to lead daily operations within a busy fabrication and mechanical shop environment. This individual will oversee shop workflow, coordinate fabrication schedules, assist with equipment operation, and support mechanics and assemblers while leading a small team of 5–6 employees.
Responsibilities:
- Track and maintain shop inventory and materials
- Create and manage daily/weekly fabrication schedules
- Operate shop equipment and assist with production as needed
- Support mechanics and assemblers with workflow and troubleshooting
- Supervise and lead a team of 5–6 employees
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
Requirements:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a shop, fabrication, or mechanical environment
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Journeyman’s License preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Positive attitude, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced environment
