Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a local Waterloo company to search for a Sales Associate to join their team!
Schedule: Monday-Saturday schedule, first and second shift hours
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with buying, selling, and pawn transactions
- Evaluate and price merchandise based on market value and store guidelines
- Explain loan terms, repayment policies, and store procedures clearly to customers
- Operate cash registers and process payments accurately
- Maintain organized and attractive sales displays
- Inspect merchandise for authenticity and condition
- Build positive relationships with repeat customers
- Monitor inventory and assist with stocking merchandise
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local/state regulations
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and secure store environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail, sales, customer service, or pawn shop experience is a plus
- Basic knowledge of electronics, jewelry, musical instruments, tools, or collectibles preferred
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and handle cash responsibly
- Comfortable working with diverse customers and merchandise
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed
