Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $18–$20/hour
Schedule: Part-Time
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Flexible scheduling available (example: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations in Waterloo. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of administrative tasks and working in a professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
- Greet visitors and direct them appropriately
- Maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication
- Perform data entry, filing, and electronic document scanning
- Assist with light shipping and receiving, including packaging items
- Manage email correspondence and general office communication
- Support additional administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of office experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience using a multi-line phone system, computer, and copier
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work independently
- High school diploma or GED required
