Groundskeeper and Landscaper

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Groundskeeper and Landscaper to assist with maintaining and improving outdoor grounds. This position involves mowing, trimming, landscaping, snow removal, and general grounds maintenance. The ideal candidate will have landscaping experience and be comfortable working outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mow, trim, and maintain grounds
• Plant and maintain flowers, trees, shrubs, and landscaping beds
• Apply lawn and landscape treatments as needed
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots
• Clean and maintain outdoor areas and equipment
• Prepare vehicles and trailers for use
• Maintain groundskeeping equipment
• Assist with work orders, moves, and setups

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous horticultural experience preferred
• 2 years of residential or commercial landscaping experience preferred
• Experience with landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift over 50 lbs
• Ability to work with arms above shoulder height
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
