Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift

Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM

Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Forklift Operator to join a local warehouse team. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts, reach trucks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and production operations. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, overhead cranes, and other industrial equipment
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas
- Move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Assist with inventory tracking and material movements
- Organize materials to maximize storage space and accessibility
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience required
- Reach truck and overhead crane experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Reliable with strong attendance and work ethic
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate heavy equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to safely operate industrial equipment for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment
