Saw Operator
Express Employment at 2326 Planet Avenue is recruiting for some Saw Operators to join a local manufacturing company in Salina.
Position Details:
• Type: Direct Hire
• Schedule: 7am - 4pm, M-F
• Location: Salina, KS
• Pay/Salary: $18-$20
Job Duties:
• Set up and operate saws (band saws, circular saws, panel saws, etc.) to cut materials such as wood, metal, or plastic to specified dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine cutting requirements.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on material using rulers, calipers, or measuring tapes.
• Select appropriate blades and adjust machine settings for speed, feed rate, and cutting depth.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to ensure accurate and efficient cutting.
• Inspect finished cuts for quality and accuracy using measuring tools such as squares or gauges.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance or minor repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• 1+ years of experience related to Saw Operation or similar roles
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
• Attention to details and safety
