Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Fire Damage Demolition Laborer position for a company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in Central Kansas that have full-time, part-time and temporary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, inspect, and complete tasks related to water restoration jobs (drying, demolition, water extraction, etc.)
- Cut and remove sheetrock and non-salvageable materials
- Use equipment and tools safely and effectively for restoration and demolition
- Pack out, clean, and document affected contents
- Prepare detailed job documentation including notes, photos, and forms for insurance reimbursement
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers on job progress and next steps
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and product label usage instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License (good driving record strongly preferred)
- Must be able to pass a background check (no felonies)
- Physically able to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces
- Must be willing to be on-call and work overtime as needed
- Ability to read and follow written instructions in English
- Must be able to wear a respirator when required (must seal properly to face)
- Comfortable working in a variety of indoor/outdoor conditions with or without climate control
- Strong work ethic – must be dependable, self-motivated, and not easily distracted
- Able to squat, crawl, crouch, stand, and walk for extended periods
$17.00 per hour pay rate.
