Job Full Description
Essential Functions:
Primarily responsible for supporting NSM Service Centers on repairs, maintenance, cleaning and proper storage of durable medical equipment (i.e. bed frames, low air-loss mattresses, trapeze, and lifts).
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitization:
- Segregates, handles, and transports soiled equipment in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Perform thorough cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of durable medical equipment in compliance with company policies and health regulations.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to ensure all equipment meets cleanliness standards.
- Ensures that safe handling procedures and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are used at all times.
- Inspection and Maintenance:
- Inspect equipment for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction before and after cleaning.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
- Document and report any equipment issues or concerns to management thoroughly and accurately.
- Ensures all equipment accessories are accounted for.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical issues in medical equipment.
- Replace defective parts, adjust settings, and test equipment to verify functionality.
- Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Track inventory of spare parts, tools, and cleaning supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements, including regulatory standards.
- Customer Support:
- Provide guidance and technical support to customers regarding proper equipment use and care.
- Instruct/train other staff members on the proper use and safety of the equipment and provides written instructions, if applicable.
- Assist with equipment loading, unloading, setup and delivery as needed.
- Responsible for proper use and care of company electronic devices.
- Completes all required training applicable to assigned position.
- Maintains high standards regarding health and safety and personal hygiene.
- Deliver high level quality customer service; exhibit professionalism, positive and pleasant demeanor.
- Provides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company’s image.
- Additional duties as requested or required.
