Pump Mechanic – Port Allen

FULL-TIME/LONG-TERM/EVALUATION HIRE

Monday – Friday 7 am – 3 pm. Overtime may be required

Pay $25-35 / hr, depending on Experience

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently seeking a reliable and hard-working Pump Mechanic for a local client in Port Allen, Louisiana.

This role is responsible for the inspection, disassembly, re-assembly, and repair of industrial pumps and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This is a great opportunity to grow and work in an AIR CONDITIONED SHOP. 

 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Pump Mechanic: 

 

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild a wide variety of industrial pumps
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, seals, valves, and associated equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using tools, gauges, and vibration analysis
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble pump components
  • Align pumps and motors using precision alignment tools
  • Ensure proper installation and operation of new and repaired equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, bearings, seals, and rotating equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Experience working in industrial environments (manufacturing, chemical, refinery, etc.) preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
